Hey ! It's time to share the work done during the 8 last months, sorry for the lake of update on the blog but I was very busy by my job during this period and I set aside blogging for I don't know which reason... I privileged painting models during the weekend than take pictures to update the blog, definitely not the way to run a blog. Now the tzeentch project is closed and I took all the pictures required in a single shooting session. I'll write several articles in the next few days to cover the full description of the different units : Troops, Special units, Characters and army pics, stay tune!

Modeling : Pink and blue Horrors are the main troops of the Legions, I converted some miniatures to break the redundancy of 30 Pink models and 60 blue models. Extra faces, Mixed body with flamers and Horrors splitting process scene. Kevin Adams is the main sculptor of the 80's range, it allow me to use previous molts of Shield Faces sculpted by him for Foundry Miniatures. The aim is replace the original faces by those on these marvellous shields.
Painting : To well prepare the painting of a Tzeentch army, I had to refresh my painting range. I spent the 3 last years to on Khornate mixed force... Red, Red, Red, Bone, ... I had to take new painting habits :) To be honest, it very interesting to investigate new colors associations and combining. It require a bit of investment. The target is to apply 3 differents tons on each models. For example : 3 differents tons of Pinkish colors for Pink horrors. Each ton composed by 3 colors and 1 shade (purple).
Excellent stuff.
RépondreSupprimerNice painting technique too.
I guess Tzeentch was not popular as it was not easy to understand its purpose.
Nurgle, easy it is yucky.
Khorne, easy it is skullz.
Slaanesh, easy it is excess.
But Tzeentch is less obvious to understand, which is ironic as it is probably the most Chaotic in nature of all the 4 main gods of Chaos.
Indeed Mike, Tzeentch suffer from a lake of pageantry stuffs. Fire or Flams can do the job, Feathers also.
SupprimerWow, this is so impressive! I really find these fascinating, what a hell of a work! Congrats!
